375mL cork and cage bottle drunk 8/31/17.
Glowing (translucent) melon. Good white head showing modest retention for the "style".
Brett is somewhat sharp with heavy lime and floral notes eventually being softened, somewhat, by biscuit and light cream-of-wheat character from the grain. Bit of metal in there, as well. The brett definitely feels overworked. Plentiful messy esters and sharp alcohol emerge as leafy, green hops add lime and grapefruit, certainly not benefiting the already messy, sharp character present.
Heavily overworked Brett produces bready flavors with heavy apple, lime and light peach. Spongey carbonation/texture with twangy pineapple and light grapefruit on the finish. Too much bitterness, as well. Another Brett IPA demonstrating how little we know about Brett primary. Mousey, metallic and with some slight bile as it warms/breathes. Did not come close to finishing.
