440ml can. Pours a slightly hazed golden, big frothy white head. Aroma is massively piney, resinous, grapefruit. Taste likewise predominantly piney and resinous, grapefruit, citrus peel, good assertive bitterness. Medium bodied. A solid (and well named) westie.

5/VIII/25 - 44cl can from Outer Range taproom (Sallanches, FR), shared @ Schwarzwald holiday, BB: 12/II/26 (2025-746)
Rather cloudy yellow blond beer, a huge aery irregular white to off-white head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving some big bubbled patches of lacing in the glass. Aroma:nice, some caramel malts up front, fruity notes, lots of tropical fruits, very pleasant, some citrus notes. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: lovely piny bitterness up front, very dry, lovely, just how it’s supposed to be, some orange peel, zesty, bitter grapefruit, good! Aftertaste: more resinous hops, bitter, fruity, some tropical fruits, hoppy, resinous, piny, lovely bitter finish, very nice! We need more bitter IPA’s like this.
