The second release with HRH Sandwich King is also a four-way brewery collab. Fuerst Wiacek (Germany), Ritual Lab (Italy) and Hoppy People (Switzerland) have all joined us to put together this India Pale Lager. At 5.5% this beer has the fruit forward hoppiness of a NZ IPA while maintaining the refreshing drinkability of a classic pilsner.

Lightly cloudy golden with a white head. The beer burst from the can when opened so not sure if it has some infection or is just a gusher. Made an effing mess. Tropical, buttery, a bit of fresh fruit juice, light herbal, maybe some pine. Soft and sweet body. Finish is more of the same. It’s fine but was hoping for more with this one.

440ml can. Almost clear golden, white head. Aroma of lime, grapefruit, some pine. Taste follows, big citrus flavours, lime and grapefruit mostly, lemon, some piney resinous bitterness. Light-medium bodied. Solid lager leaning heavily into the IPL aspect. Certainly not hazy like they said it was though.
