Hardcore pine-bomb of an DIPA, heavy on resin-laced bitterness with moderate notes of juicy dank, cat pee, and mango-tangerine. Malts mainly stay hidden, some toasted biscuit, caramel and cracker padding out the heavy hops. Earthiness comes forward as the pint warms, and the finish is piney and firm, leading into a citrus-tinged pinecone fade. Nice Simcoe nose, and the texture’s smooth and creamy. Not the prettiest pint, but the alcohol holds off, adding a slight bit of warmth to the back end. Drinkable, but a bit heavy-handed.

Draught @ Whole Foods - Gowanus. Cloudy golden with foamy white head, faint lemon peel aroma, low carbonation, lightly bitter citrus peel-mango taste, thin body, long medium bitter tropical fruit finish. Quite flavorful.

My 500th Imperial IPA rating! 16 oz can, thanks Tyler! First batch with Centennial, Simcoe and Nelson Sauvin. Apparently this will be a rotating hop IPA. Hazy golden orange with off-white head. Aromas of citrus, stone fruit, floral notes, light pine. Tastes of citrus, floral notes, tropical fruit. Medium body with a dry finish. Nice.
