Adjective Animal is dry hopped twice, in two different vessels, along with a great wasteful pile of hops in the kettle and a huge tongue beating heap of hops in the whirlpool. This is as hop forward as it gets. Orange, tangerine, papaya, pine, grapefruit, and mango shall waft forth. Very tropical. Nugzilla, Citra, Falconers Flight, and Centennial hops perfection. Grumpy Giraffe, Funny Ferret, Sophisticated Owl, Ostentatious Ocelot, Cantankerous Coatimundi…you know the drill.

On tap at the brewery in a tulip glass. Hazy dark gold with a thick white head. Aroma is tangerine, mango, papaya. Initial taste is everything from the aroma with some added darkness. Fades to pine, citrus rind. Full body and steady carbonation. Fantastic stuff!

From can. Hazy yellow body under a large, foamy head. Smell is kind of faint, but there's a hop an alcohol nose, like a junior 90-Minute IPA. Taste seems a little less than described for some reason. I just get dryhop bitterness, with a very faint note of citrus and pine. Pouring the rest of the can into my glass reveals some bits of yeast sediment. some nice warming alcohol. Maybe this is an older can, it was on special, but it's just not much of a much to me.

Can from Craft Brewed. Pours a orange gold with a lot of floaties and a finger of white head that lingers. Orange, grapefruit, slight earthy aromas. Sweet on the palate, malty, bitter piney, pithy orange hops. Sweet finish, boozy. Wanted to like this more. --- Beer merged from original tick of Adjective Animal on 01 Jan 2018 at 14:38 - Score: 6. On tap at Flying Saucer, pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out dank hops, with a dry biscuity malt base. Flavour is similar, with dank hops, some weed, and dry biscuity malt. Dank and potent, but a little too abrasive.

Can from Kroger, Cookeville, Tennessee. Amber with a small head. Extremely strong tasting, its fruitiness is subdued by this, although is evident.
