Truck Trail is named for the Anderson Truck Trail in Alpine, CA and is a tribute to rural American back roads where locals go for off-roading and other shenanigans. This American Pale Ale features a balanced blend of Cascade and Centennial hops. It pours a golden yellow with an eggshell colored beer foam and its bold hop-bitterness is perfectly balanced by a mellow, malty sweetness. Dominant notes of fresh pine needles and zesty citrus rind make this a classic example of the style.

Can from The Bottle Shop London and drunk at home. Clear gold amber colour lasting white head. pink grapefruit aroma. Some sherbet. Enormously drinkable tropical fruit um bongo totally tropical taste. Wow that's properly hoppy and fruity and lovely. Truly a drinkable APA. Enough malt to give a bit of backbone. Fruit salad kiddie sweet tropical fruit. Good.

Can. Pours lightly hazy orange, medium off-white head, good lacing. Aroma is pine and caramel. Flavor is light plus sweet, light plus bitter, pine and caramel, hints of grapefruit. Medium body. This is a pretty old-school pedestrian offering. Not bad, but not up to what I would expect from Alpine.

12 ounce can. Bright, brassy gold color topped by a frothy white head with th nice lacing. Fragrant citrus hops meld with a grainy maltiness in the nose. Crisp, bitter hops and soft, bready grain upfront. Some citrus and pine notes in the dry, bitter finish. Quite good.

From can to pint glass. I found this smooth and pleasurable. Orange and clear with full white head. Easy drinking and clean.

Draft at RnH-West. Clear gold, strong white head and lots of lace. Aroma is full of pine, with some underlying citrus rind. Drinks fairly bitter. Smooth and clean, long, dry close. Good, but a little one dimensional.

Can, clear pale yellow with a bit of orange tint. Foamy craggy head. Mild hop nose. Treads into IPA territory with the first taste. Yes, big bitter bite. Why does everything have to be like an IPA today? Just asking. I guess its the fad. Yes, way to hoppy for an APA. But what ever. Over the top. Please, restyle this as an IPA. Finish is of course, pine tar and chewing on green grapefruit rinds, whew. Not impressed.

12 oz can purchased as a single at Royal Liquors 103rd St in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is a clear golden with a well formed two inch foamy white hug. The aroma is faint grass, herbal, some soft citrus with a bit of toasted malt. The taste is a clean balance of the cracker, toast malt with grass herbal hop, and some bitterness towards the back. The palate is medium bodied, with soft to low carbonation and grass softly bitter finish. Couldn't really read the date on the bottom of the can, thinking this may have had a bit of age on it. Solid.
