To celebrate the oft-rainy Pacific Northwest, we’ve brewed a New-World India Pale Ales featuring exotic Ella hops loaded with aromas of kiwi and passionfruit. These fresh and zippy hops are nicely balanced by a clean pale malt character. We’ve liberally dry hopped Umbrella to add to its distinct and complex flavor. Enjoyable anytime, rain or shine. Hazy pale golden colour, good two finger frothy white head, good retention, good lacing. Aroma pale malts, lemon, grapefruit, pine, straw. Smooth taste, medium sweet and bitter, malty, grapefruit, light goose berry, piney. Dry sweetbitter aftertaste, light spicy notes, medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Well-balanced, easy to drink and crisp IPA, very nice.

From a 12 oz. bottle. Pours a semi-clear gold with a thick off white head. Aromas of tropical fruit, citrus and pine. Flavors are bitter and fruity. Pleasant brew.

Sampled on the sand at Pacific City. Lean and biscuity malts with a full, rich gooseberry ella notes stacked on it. Nice stuff.

Tap in the Cannon Beach location. Gold color, some lacing, but entirely clear. Interesting choice of hops, citrus, grass, and they seem fresh. Moderate bitterness, a little malt, and dry finish. the best of the beers at the Pelican tap room I tried, but kind of old fashioned in its execution.

Bottle @ home. Clear yellow golden color, medium sized white to off-white head. Smell and taste malts, hops, a bit sweetish hoppy with some earthy, malty notes. Average to decent body and carbonation. Mwah.

Draft @ Beer Temple. Hazy pale golden color. Dense white head. Aroma’s: citrus, tropical fruit, grapefruit, light malty sweetness. Retronasal the maltiness is more upfront, with bitterness and pine. Flavor is moderate bitter with light sweetness. Medium bodied. Finish is slightly dry, rather bitter. Not entirely fresh but still OK.

From tap at Bøker & Børst with BHK 03.07.17. Golden. Fine white head and lacing. Aroma and lingering taste of mango, peach, apricot, citrus, pineapple, marmalade and succade. Medium high bitterness. Full mouthfeel. Good!

Slightly hazy yellow colour, medium-sized white head. Aroma has gooseberry and hop oily gasoline. Medium-bodied. Flavour has also gooseberry, gasoline and then some tropical fruits. Quite light palate for 7.4 % brew but some warming alcohol in the background. Interesting showcase of Ella (which is not so good single hop hop).

Draft at Zeezicht, Breda. Near clear golden with a thick white head. Aroma of citrus, pine, light grapefruit, light tropical notes and a little malt. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and above moderate bitter. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation.
