An American-style IPA brewed with 100% Irish malt. Pine and citrusy grapefruit are balanced by a full, malt backbone. Very pale with a slight hop haze from high levels of dry hopping. Fruity aromas of passionfruit, grapefruit and orange. The flavour is equally fruity, with a soft mouthfeel and a balanced finish.

Can, courtesy of the brewery. It’s an unclear one, orange in color, with a finger-thick off-white head. Rather malty aroma, bready and pale malt-ish, with pine cones, resins, grapefruit and a peppery note. Feels like the hops are getting a bit old already. It’s dryish on the palate, full-bodied and a bit warming on the palate, with bready pale malts in the back. Pine cones, grapefruit and some orange marmalade in the flavor. Long finish with even more orange marmalade. A bit on the malty side this one, but sure a decent one. 170604

Keg at the Brewdog Soho. A translucent golden orange coloured pour with a lasting off white head. Aroma is sweet jammy orange, sweet malts, marmalade, midget gems, little. Pulped mango. Flavour is composed of loose semi sweet Base malts, little cakey, toast and marmalade, vanilla. Palate is raw grains, medium sweet, moderate carbonation, little chewy. Ok. Little loose and lacking definition..

Keg at the Walled Brewery Derry. Absolute shocker (may be storage problem) but it came across as incredibly sour, soapy and unpleasant. Certainly not what one wants from an IPA.

Draft at In De Wildeman. Cloudy dull golden orange with a bubbly off white head. Aroma of citrus, orange, pine notes and juicy tropical fruit hops. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter. Medium bodied with a palate that so juicy on the hop front that it’s actually almost puckering at first, and light carbonation. A decent over the top hop bomb.
