Hazy Jaipur, formerly known as DDH Jaipur, uses the same quality ingredients as our flagship beer, Jaipur. What sets it apart is the double-hopping, which creates a vibrant, radiant haze and gives it an irresistibly inviting appearance. The soft, pillowy mouthfeel perfectly complements the bold, punchy flavours, which deliver a burst of tropical notes with juicy mango and pineapple at the forefront.

Can from Morrisons Inverurie. It pours lightly hazy yellow - gold with a thick, fluffy white head. The fresh and bright, soft tropical fruit vibes, juicy, tangy, melon, pineapple, mango, star fruit, grass, resin and straw. The taste is firmly dry, decent hit of bitterness which lingers throughout, grassy, green, pine needles, straw, resin, melon, greengage, pineapple, peppery spice, pithy citrus, grapefruit and a nip of alcohol with a drying, bitter linger. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Very drinkable stuff. Don't think it's better than the regular mind you. Fun stuff anyhow.

Friday 19th Feb 2021; Family Beer Festival, three of us sharing a random selection of cans and bottles in my home bar. A 330ml bottle of this; BB 8th Jun 2021 was one of the hoppy highlights during the evening. Light haze to the golden/amber body, decent white head on all three small glasses. Hop front to the nose and flavour, fruity and some resinous traces too. Nice!

[33cl bottle from Beer52.] A hazy pale amber pour with a tight white head, looking far paler than I remember for Jaipur; tropical fruit aroma; sharp citrusy taste with lots of lemon and grapefruit pith, and a touch of iodine; then a long unrelenting sharp bitter finish.

Bottle from Beer 52. Has a citrus-led aroma with grapefruit to the fore. Pours a cloudy pale lemon yellow with a small white head. Citrus again in the mouth. Far too much lemon and grapefruit for me to taste anything else. And the horrible bitter lemon finish which is characteristic of citra hops. Not a patch on the original Jaipur – possibly the worst Thornbridge beer I’ve ever tasted.
