Hazy Jaipur, formerly known as DDH Jaipur, uses the same quality ingredients as our flagship beer, Jaipur. What sets it apart is the double-hopping, which creates a vibrant, radiant haze and gives it an irresistibly inviting appearance. The soft, pillowy mouthfeel perfectly complements the bold, punchy flavours, which deliver a burst of tropical notes with juicy mango and pineapple at the forefront.

Bottle from Beer52. Cloudy pale yellow-gold with a white head. Good fresh hops, with flavours of fresh cut grass, grapefruit, apricot and melon. A hint of spice. Lasting moderate bitterness at the end - possibly be a touch too much to go withthe flavours. There's some hints of the standard Jaipur about this but not a lot - where normal Jaipur is more mellow and satisfying, this is brighter and livelier. I prefer the standard Jaipur, but this is still a fine brew; maybe one that would be best drunk on a sunny spring day (sadly it was sleeting when I had this!).

Bottle. Wine Rack, Sharrow, Sheffield. Had this on release from a can and I must say that seemed far better than this? Anyhoo. Notes of mango and pineapple here, with some biscuit malt, but thereโ€™s a papery thing that spoils it slightly. Taste is a little sweet with some dryness. Smooth enough mouthfeel. Foamy carbonation. Light bitter finish. Makes me wonder if this has been stored badly (although thatโ€™s not likely from the shop it was purchased).

Can sample at a tasting at Stas' place. Murky yellow, white head. Fruity hops, a bit oniony, quite dry, somewhat green bitterness. Decent.

Can at home, from HOTM online, 27/12/20. Hazed golden orange with a well presented white cap formed of thinly knit white bubbles. Nose is orange squash, melon, light pine, grass, pineapple, toasted malts. Taste comprises bitter orange, quite a heavy dose of minerality, grapefruit, citric tinged straw, melon. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close splashed with balanced leafy hop bitterness. Decent enough IPA with an old skool lean ... the initial heavy minerality subsides after three or five sips.

440ml can. Sweetish, fruity and slightly grassy hoppy with some pine, citrus and tropical notes. Okay, slightly juicier and less bitter than regular Jaipur.
