" Anticipating widespread acclaim, " the "Schloss Berg Brewery" was founded in 1904 in the birthplace of the Bavarian poet and anarchist Oskar Maria Graf. He recounted the story in his magnum opus, "The Life of My Mother." This allowed the brewery, which was refounded in 2012 by half a dozen enthusiasts, to become one of the few breweries to feature in world literature.

The "Brauerei Schloss Berg" has now found its home in a former pub in Berg and works closely with the world's most innovative hop producers. For OSKAR, the "Gstopfte Helle" (Gstopfte Helle), BSB's first collaboration with Hoppebräu, a unique brew was created using the new fruity "Southern Passion" variety and the classic "Citra" hops.

An unfiltered Helles with an alcohol content of 5.0% ABV and topped with the South African Southern Passion hop variety, it's super elegant, drinkable, fruity, and fresh. Enjoy!

Erhöhte Karbonisierung, moderat hopfig. Deutliche Bitterkeit, geringe Süße, trocken, frisch, einfach. Brotig, bitter-hopfiger Ausklang. 9/7/9/7/8/8

A touch cloudy with a tall, firm white head. Aroma has big citrus and floral notes along with some grass. The flavors aren’t as powerful but still nice. Floral notes are replaced by a more present grassiness. Really nice hopped up helles.

Can from Bierkiste. Cloudy golden, fine carbonation, white lace, Perfumed, tropical, citrus aroma, a hint sulphur. Sweet tropical, apricot jam entry, medium light light fizzing body, light chalky flour malt in the background, spritzed juice freshness, Good fuity hoppy aftertaste. Pleasant summer drink.

Had this from can (I liked it so much I had three this evening) in the company of Jude and Baz, Thursday 14th August 2025 sat in the Biergaten of Hoppebräu. Pours gold with a mid sized white head, light haziness. There's a nice softness on the tongue, hoppy throughout, nice bite, light bitterness, a very good crisp Helles. In fact this has a lovely bitterness, this is a nice hoppier and more bitter version of a Helles than I'm used to. Another great collaboration from Hoppebräu.
