Bavaria's Ayinger are legends in the brewing industry, known for their love and perfection of classic German beer styles. Playing off their background, we came together to create this dark twist on the Bavarian-style wheat beer. This beer features layers of wheat malt flavor and was handled through traditional open fermenters to highlight Ayinger's famous hefeweizen yeast character

Pretty forgettable dunk. Could have more power, more punch.

12oz bottle pours with a somewhat murky mohagony colored body that supports a thin tan head. The aroma offers up some jammy notes moving quickly into earthy fig and dates as well as light mineral to yeasty note at the end of the draw. The taste delivers similar notes of sweet jammy fruitiness sliding into prunes and a bit of earthy dates. There is a mild biscuit maltiness that seems to have a faint rauch sensation too. Pretty passable offering.

0,5 l on tap at Godec pub. Pours dark brown with a big lasting tan head. Aroma of ripe banana, yeast, caramel, wheat. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is medium, texture slick, carbonation average for the style. Finish is medium, sweet ripe banana is complemented well with light slightly peppery bitterness. Delightful.

Bottle. Mid brown with a pale beige head that fades quickly from an inch. Aroma of spiced and chocolaty briochish dough with cloves and light vanilla/ banana notes. Just enough body, carbonation could be a touch higher for me. Just mouthfilling - hints of rich malt but swiggable. Sticky breadcrusts and a little chocolate with spices and moderate bitterness building towards the end. Top end for a style I'm yet to love.
