Black with thin head. Aroma and flavour have plenty of toasted and roasted malts. Lasting burnt bittersweetness the finish. Some dark caramel too.

Many thanks to ShivanDragon for this bottle! Dry grainy beginning. Minty hints of polaris hops, fresh grainy with roasted malt. Sticky, sightly sourish. Sessionable, round and smooth, not too deep with hints of roasted coffee and dry burned malt.

Sampled from tap at the brewpub. Slightly hazy, dark brown to black with a beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty and a little yeasty aroma of chocolate, some coffee, licorice, dark fruits and clove (?). Sweet, malty, slightly roasty and quite yeasty-spicy taste of chocolate, some coffee, licorice, some dark fruits and clove, followed by a short, slightly bitter, a little roasty, quite yeasty-spicy finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Begins promising, but ends with lots of typical Dutch yeastiness which doesn’t fit into it. Disappointing!
