Delicious brown ale, with tasty notes of cocoa, toasted pumpernickel, cascara, apple, and chestnuts, with a gentle nutty bitterness on the back end. Excellent brown ale.

Can. Pours a clear brown with a slight chestnut hue and a light brown head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has a nice bread with a hint of dark grains and a touch of nuttiness underlying. Flavor has a rich bread throughout with a hint of light roast and some chestnut supporting.

16 oz. Aroma is dark bread, nutty. Pours dark brown with red highlights and a one finger beige head that falls into a ring pretty quickly. Taste is light to moderately bittersweet with nutty and bready flavors. A little thin. Not bad.

Draft at the source. Clear dark brown color tan head. Earthy coffee grounds aroma. Taste is soft roast coffee. One of the better chestnut beers I’ve had.
