A pleasant surprise - the other half picked this up from the local bakery (she’s not a perry drinker normally, and she didn’t buy this for me). Sweet but not cloying, a little ripe pear, subtle candy floss, quite low funk, mellow acidity. Nip of apple sauce. Spritzy carb. Hugely drinkable.

Panda at home, thanks to Ed Danlo, 08/12/2025.
Pale yellow to light golden topped with a white cap that thins to a swirl.
Nose is ripe pear, straw, herb, tannins.
Taste comprises pears, hay bale, sugars, tannins, straw, faint acidity.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close.
Tidy.

750ml bottle from Cat in the Glass, for #rgpm. Sparkling, clear golden colour, thin white foam head and aroma of perry pear, floral, funk, straw. Taste is sweet, perry peary, fruity, flowery, some caramel, raisin, and citrusy, with light tannin. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, medium drying peary finish. Nicely drinkable.
