Hazy yellow-gold color with a small khaki head and poor retention. Minimal lacing. Flat mouthfeel. Clean, grainy euro-lager flavor with only minor skunk taste. Fairly pedestrian lager flavor, but nothing bad either.

Can sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks kerenmk. Yellow with a small white head. Aroma of oxidation, cardboard, grape juice. Sweetish flavor with graininess, cardboard, and a faint bitterish note in the finish. Light-bodied.

Pours an amber from a can. Very little head, kind of expecting a little more. Slight biscuit aroma, maybe a tiny bit skunky. Flavor is really just a sweet malty graininess. Not bad, really not much of anything. Meh.

Big 17oz can at Daikaya Ramen in DC. Pours a clear, deep gold with some frothy white head. Nose of corn, rice, yeast. Flavor is the same, lots of corn, some grain finally. Slick finish.

Canadian brewed 22oz can, consumed on 12th May 2015 in Southern California where it was bought. Disappointed to be honest, bland and uninteresting in my opinion. The clear yellow body had no head worthy of mention and although well carbonated on the palate it looked flat and sad, Slight grainy nose and taste with a mild sweetness from those grains, glad I shared the can with my Son-in-Law (who did not enjoy it either).

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, K3012G bottle code. Pours fairly crystal clear bright gold color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of lemon, cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt, earthy hop, and light yeast ester notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light earthy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice balance and robustness of pale malt, earthy hops, and light yeast ester flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Flavors are very clean as well with no overly estery yeast notes. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and clean mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with no warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice pale lager style. Good balance and robustness of pale malt, earthy hops, and light yeast ester flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Can. A- Cereal, corn, malty, grassy. A- Golden color, clear liquid, white head. T- Corn, slightly sweet, malty, cereal, watery. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, crisp finish. O- Couldn’t tell much difference from the normal Sapporo. Still boring and just another lager.

Location: Uchi - Houston, 12/9/13

Aroma: It has a light nose of pale malt, and some light hops
Appearance: It pours a clear gold color with a white head
Flavor: The taste is light and drinkable, similar to the nose, typical flavor for the style
Palate: The body is light, it has an alright mouthfeel, and a short finish
Overall Impression: Overall, this is a fine example of the style, but ceertainly no more than a mediocre beer.
