Pretty good stuff but with the vanilla and milk sugar in it I expected something a little more dessert like. I don’t pick up any sweetness at all of course it might just be toned down sourness. The blackberries and oranges work great. And it’s very good beer.

Bottle to stange, the appearance was a semi-hazy amber to pink color with a finger’s worth of sustaining white foamy head. Adequate dissipation that left some stringy lace.
The aroma had some sweet to tart blackberries, some orange sweet pulp, light grassiness and a little pop from some zesty lemon sweet to sourness.
The flavor was moderately sweet with the zestiness from the lemon and orange flowing up tightly to penetrate the overall flavor of blackberries. Aftertaste was more lactic and the vanilla showed up here. Finish was stringy between the blackberries and orange.
The palate was between light and medium bodied with a fair sipping sort of quality about it. Carbonation felt low but fine with me. ABV felt as projected. Not that much sour harshness - seemed like the vanilla may have covered that up a little bit.
Overall, if this is a Berliner Weisse than I am Mickey Mouse. However, I would say this is a pretty good American Sour ale that has some awesome nuances that could make this do-able again for me.

Bottle shared in NYC - cheers to drsandman. Pours unclear blood-red with a creamy, pink head. The nose holds jammy blackberries, slight vanilla, cherry. Light sweet about with mild acidity, more jammy blackberry, creamy vanilla. Light bodied with massaging carbonation. Nicely balanced finish, further restrained acidity, jammy blackberry and other berries, further understated vanilla expression. Very drinkable. Very nice.

Pours hazy dark berry into a snifter. Ruby-pink head with good retention recedes leaving trailing sheets. Orange, vanilla and blackberry aromas. Sweet vanilla and marshmallow upfront turning to tart lactose and blackberry before the mild creamscicle finish. A little high in abv for a berliner...

Bottle drunk 2/9/17.
Large, well-retained, pinkish-violet-tinged, beige head tops a bright cherry juice-colored, hazy body.
The nose is full of poignant fruits that are nicely-integrated with the lactic acid. It’s incredibly juicy and with minimal aggressivity. The lactose and vanilla only show lightly, as they should and the orange zest seems completely integrated, as well. Some tannin-like skin notes, soft, musty funk and boisterous berry with a soft finish that seems to be tempered by the copious amounts of wheat. Very sniffable with no alcohol or flaw.
Tart and with a moderate acidity in the mouth stemming from both the blackberry tannins and acids as well as light Brett and lactic acid. Juicy as all hell, again, with a very soft, wheat and lactose-induced texture and incredibly tightly carbonated making for an almost creamy character. While the blackberries stand out nicely (though aren’t dominant), the rest of the adjuncts blend in perfectly. Dries out on the finish and ends with lingering Brett, blackberry juice and light lacto-vanilla hints. Incredibly delicious and something I could drink frequently. The low abv and dryness makes it very sessionable, which was very unexpected based on the "Dessert" moniker in the description.

Bottle at home. Another crazy purple beer from Grimm. Nose is sugary blackberry pie and light citrus. Tastes of pithy seedy blackberry, some tart berry notes, bitter orange peel, light wheat, some lactose. Small tartness. Some sugary bits and berry on finish.
