Smoked Table Lager
Bizarre and Fair Isle made this flame-kissed Table Lager with a mash of LINC pilsner malt, Elwha River spelt, and black cherry-smoked wheat from Sugar Creek Malt Co. They kettle hopped it with Strisselspalt, Tettnang, and HBC 1019 then open fermented the beer with Bizarre’s house Lager strain.
We get notes of grilled peaches with smoky and grapefruity character on the nose of this complex and crushable little lager.

Can.
A- Golden orange color, clear liquid, white head.
A- Light, grains, faint smoke.
F- Woodsy, mild ham brine, grains.
T- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish.
O- Nice. I would love to see some more low abv table beers that are smoked. This was so easy to drink and tasty.

On tap at Bizarre, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma has gentle smoke, like a grodziskie, with straw, and toasted malt. Flavour seems like a grodziskie to me, with soft wheat and a touch of faint campfire smoke. Pretty soft and restrained. Clean but unremarkable.

On tap at Bizarre. Pours clear blonde with a white head. Dry woody smoke and light malts on the nose. Flavour has crisp cracker malts, some dry grass; really hard to find smoke on the palate. It's okay.

Canned 8/5/25, drunk 10/3/25.
Clear, soft golden with brassy-bronze hues and a medium-sized, off-white head that slowly fades to cover.
Clean smoke with honey-like malts and peppery hops provide a polished, traditional nose. A more delicate smoke, though it's still front-and-center.
Fruity at first with round malts and almost a juicy apple or pear-like quality. Must be the hops? Smoke is even less dominant than in the nose, leaving plenty of room for malt, hop, and chewy wheat. Lovely malt/wheat textures, especially given its size, with a hint of char on the finish followed by fruit and zesty herb. Amazing balance and flavor for 3.2%.

16oz can from Tavour. Pale golden pour, foamy head fades to small patches. Light smoky aroma, campfire. Taste is bready, with the light smoky accents providing a delicious layer to this lager. Woody, ash.
