We've enjoyed getting to know the folks at Schilling over the past year; we poured alongside each other at various festivals, brewed our Dunkel, Reise, together, and they kindly invited us down to pour at their Oktoberfest in Littleton, New Hampshire. So it's great to have them be part of this years' Welcome To The Neighbourhood and as the fifth collaborator in our 2025 Digital Neighbourhood series.
We've created a Vienna Lager that's very much in keeping with the classic European-style brewing that Schilling are best known for - toasty, bready, biscuit notes from a traditional malt base, Hallertau Tettnanger in the boil for that herbal, spicy, noble character, and a clean, smooth finish.

440ml can. Gluten Free. Orangey golden colour, off-white foamy head and aroma of malt, bread, citrus. Taste is sweetish, malty, grains, bready, biscuit, with orange marmalade, some straw, and herbal dusty hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry mellow bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Panda thanks to Wingman. Near clear amber beer, small bubbly cream colour head. Light palate, mildly dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Light bodied malts, a fair amount of caramel but, it's thin, unsweet and quite tangy. Tart, ripe orange and marmalade, touch of lemon. Light finish. Entertaining if not like any lager I have tasted.

Creamy beige head left a spotty top on a finely carbonated clear amber coloured body - Looks lovely.
Malt, bready & cake aroma.
Medium bodied, soft & smooth with a sharp cloying back.
Malt, biscuit, bready & berry tastes with a lightly hopped bitter slightly woody finish.
Nicely balanced - warming.

440ml can. Crystal clear dark amber colour, small beige head. Aroma of biscuity and caramel malts, toasted bread. Taste is malty, biscuit, toasted bread, caramel, mild herbal/grassy/peppery hop, light sweet, light bitterness.
Vienna isn't a lager style I jump at but this was great, really enjoyed this one.
