HBC 1019 now has a name after spending nine years as an experimental hop variety, so we thought it was high time that Dolcita became the latest hop to have its moment in the Dreaming Of spotlight. Its multidimensional flavour profile bounces from caramelised pineapple to ripe orange to tinned peach to dark rum, with coconut cream sweetness between it all.

Tap at craft beer junction. A hazed golden orange coloured pour with a lasting fluffy white head. Aroma is lovely Sabro like, white grape, dill, lime jelly, soft wheat, creany,. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, rounded wheat, lime jelly, vanilla, dill, some coconut cream. Vanilla.. Palate is semi sweet, rounded, creamy, moderate carbonation. Really unique. Sabro feels. Great.

Panda thanks to Cloin. Near clear gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Light palate, mildly dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Smooth pale malts bring a mild creamy sweetness. Stunning HBC1019 hops, massive pineapple and pineapple cubes. A light coconut. Perhaps a touch of grapefruit. Plenty of hop spice. Light finish. Love these hops even though they surely mean the deathknell of similar but far less flavoursome hops.

Strong lime aroma, herbal hops, pine. very nice slightly grassy and herbal aroma.
flavor is sweet malty, sweet grapefruit, very slightly grassy, not very bitter, but a decent power to the hops anyway. more herbal and grassy hoppy, than citrus juicy hoppy.

440ml can. Hazy golden, white head. Aroma of pineapple, lychee, peach, coconut. Taste is sweet and fruity, pineapple, peach, lychee, melon, creamy coconut, light piney and grapefruit hop bitterness. Medium bodied. Really nice hop, glad to see it finally get a name. Surely a very close relative of Sabro with all that coconut!
