huge aroma of apple juice, and honey with an alcohol backdrop. The alcohol coats the glass like a good wine. Flavour is sweet, but enjoyable. Mouthfeel is thick, but not cloying. A nice cider.

Sample thanks to Grumbo. Clear varnished mahogany. Aroma is fairly rich caramel and oxidised / aged real ale. Taste presents bright caramel and burnt brown sugar, syrupy sweet with crisp apple pie, light vanilla. and high Manuka honey. Very good.

25/4/2020. Bottle from Two Brews, Colchester. Bought this a couple of years ago, it’s from the 2009 harvest. Quite similar to the 2014 I’d had before but with lots of rich baked apple, baked apple skin, brown sugar and caramel. Otherwise quite similar and still very delicious. 9394-18 4.3. 24/6/2019. Bottle sample from the 2014 harvest courtesy of danlo, cheers Ed. Pours clear amber gold with no head. Aroma of intensely rich apples, golden syrup, twig, vanilla, biscuit and apple strudel. Medium sweetness and light to moderate tartness. Full body, oily sticky texture, very soft carbonation. Rich, alcoholic, warming apple pie finish. Delicious. 8493-18 4.2

375ml bottle. Vintage 2014. Golden amber colour, no head and aroma of apple pie, pastry, tangy apple, boozy. Taste is slightly tart, sweet syrupy, apple, with pastry, apple pie, and some caramel, tangy woody, vanilla, earthy tannic & booze notes. Thick syrupy mouthfeel, full bodied, low carbonation, dry and boozy finish. Very drinkable
