Bottle 0,33ltr: Hazy brown colored brew with an dryish and sweet bitter taste, hints of cinnamon, sherry, dried fuits and caramel. Despite this beer is from mine hometown of Leiden and brewed with all 4 breweries from mine town, the whole beer is unbalanced.

At Gents Bierfestival; must have been an older bottle, as this collaboration brew - celebrating the Dutch craft beer revolution having stormed the proud city of Leiden - has apparently been discontinued meanwhile. Thin, off-white head, opening in the middle, over a hazy bronze-brown beer with dark mahogany hue. Aroma of dried cranberries, banana, aniseed, caramel, candied fig, coriander. Banana and fig sweet fruit notes in the onset, softish carbo, resiny mouthfeel; caramelly malt body, residual brown sugariness adding something honeyish, bit cloying even, ethereal spicy finish with hints of aniseed and coriander seed, mild bitterishness, caramelly and banana sweetness lingering. Belgian style strong ale, acceptable as such but I guess I had too many spice beers to truly enjoy this.

Thank you for sharing RB Crew! Sampled 330 ml. bottle @ GBF 2017. Murky brown, little tanned head. Nose is dull iron, wet dog, murky dark bread malt, overripe bay leaf, kitchen spices. Taste is weird slab stale bread, bay leaf, wet dog, sugar, messy,… Soft carbonation, stale kitchen spices body, thicker. Weird mess, not my thing.
