Brick mark is all about malt. Hand-selected roasted and crystal malts make this beer rich in malt-derived chocolate and caramel flavors. To top it off, we added a touch of high-quality cocoa nibs and toasted coconut.

Can. A bit straight forward, but also kind of complex. Roasted malts, coffee and chocolate, burnt hints and some caramel. Pleasant. 747414 251227

Can, #868, three weeks after canning. Pours dark brown, with a big creamy mocha head. Aroma is roasted malts with dark bread, cocoa nibs, muscovado and heather, as well as earthy hops with herbal notes. Full body, with average carbonation. Flavour is grainy, roasted malts with bread crust, burned sugar, dark chocolate and heather, as well as earthy hops with herbal minerals.

440 ml can, as Salikatt Brick Mark Chocolate Brown Ale, from Vinmonopolet Sandnes Kvadrat. ABV is 7.5%. Very dark brown to black colour, large to moderate off-white to beige head. Aroma of roast malts, mild coffee and cocoa. Flavour with the same elements, also some caramel, but not too sweet. Moderate hops. This is more of a brown porter than a brown ale in my book, but who cares, as long as it tastes good?

440ml can from Vinmonopolet Langnes, #868. Decent fawn-coloured head leaving crocheted lacing on the glass, almost black in the glass. Nicely roasted malty aromas, hints of dark bread and chocolate. Solid dark malt-forward taste, moments of cocoa-chocolate and caramel. Fine roasted chocolate malty ending. Well bodied. Enjoyed on a Saturday afternoon at home.
