440 ml can, as Phantom M Is For Mosaic DIPA, from Left Field Beer, England. ABV is 8%. Opaque yellow colour, moderate white head. Aroma and flavour of Mosaic hops - yellow stonefruits, tropical fruits, some citrus. Also substantial malts, fairly rich mouthfeel. Some "hop burn", which I like.

Nose is juicy tropical fruit flesh, papaya, ripe melon, mandarin.
Taste comprises orange pith, kumquat, grass, pine resin, grapefruit, mandarin.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spliced with juicy hop bitterness.
Solid juicy and well balanced DIPA.

Can. A light haze on this yellowish gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Airy smooth palate, a very mild dryness, decent fine minerally carbonation. Soft pale malts, a nice light smooth creamy sweetness. Smooth cooling pine. The Mosaic delivery is one of the better ones I have had in the last decade. Soft pine, a light touch of blueberry, mangoish tropical fruits. Modest candy fruits. Soft savoury skunk and a touch of hop spice on the finish. Lovely. A real blast from the past, and 75 - 80% of what I remember as Mosaic being when it first burst on the scene. God, I am going to miss this brewery. RIP Phantom.

440ml can. Opaque yellow, white head. Aroma of just pure hops, very green, fresh, I like it but I know this is going to burn. Taste is... fucking awful, it's like I'm eating raw hop matter, insanely astringent, outrageous hop burn, honestly wtf is this? Quite literally undrinkable liquid.
Not sure what went on here but this is by far the biggest discrepancy I have ever experienced between aroma and flavour. Looks good, smells ok, but tastes shit. When I poured the remnants of the can out it was more green than yellow! Never had a bad beer from Phantom before, and I hope this is the only one.
