We brewed this DIPA with our longtime pals Fast Fashion from Seattle, when they trekked all the way over to Lewes for our festival These Hills. It showcases Anchovy, an experimental hop from Segal Ranch in Washington, paired with Citra and Motueka, bringing flavours of watermelon jolly ranchers, yellow starburst and lemon sherbert.

Draft at the Lewes brewery taproom. Poured a murky golden orange colour with a big, lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy, orange tangerine. The flavour is moderate sweet and bitter, with a fresh, juicy, mango passionfruit, lime, dry, light floral hop bitter palate. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Can. Hazy orange gold beer, small but fairly persistent bubbly pale cream colour head. Airy smooth palate, a very mild dryness, reasonable fine carbonation. Soft pale malts, a smooth creamy sweetness. Soft pine into juicy hop fruits. Anchovy hops bring candy watermelon and berry fruits. Citra and Motueka bring up the back end with slightly ripe citrus and a little soft lime. Light and semi dry finish leaves a mild hop spice linger. Perhaps just a tad sweet overall, but that really is a nit pick. Interesting and quaffable dipa.
