Aging our award-winning Monachus XII in a Heaven Hill bourbon barrel for over 10 months made it evolve into a more soft carbonated barley wine-ish type of beer.
Typical HH notes to end with a malty finish.

Bottle at home. Brown color, darker mahogany red glare coming through when held into the light. Aroma and flavor are malts, brown candy sugar, barrel notes, sweetish notes of raisins. Alright.

Paper wrapped bottle (500ml?) @ Tim's place, Gent. A deep varnished mahogany appearance, small off-white head. A beard-stroker.. rich, slick, syrupy.. deep flavoured, dried dark fruits, prune.. like it
