Draft at Nederlands Bieren Festival, (Winter) Delft. Hazy amber brown with a small tan head. Aroma of caramel, overripe dark fruit, oak, toffee and sweet malt. Flavour is heavy sweet and light moderate bitter. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

Tap at NBFD. Almost clear deep copper with small beige head. Lots of figs and raisins, sweet malts, light flowery, milk chocolate, some herbs and brown sugar. Quite sweet and under medium bitter. Over medium bodied. Decent quad.

Sampled from 0.33 l bottle. Very dark, reddish brown with a frothy, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly yeasty-spicy aroma of caramel, honey, clove and some raisins. Rather sweet, malty, yeasty-spicy taste of caramel, licorice, raisins, clove and nuts, followed by a medium long, slightly bitter, moderately yeasty-spicy finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, average carbonation. Okay!

33cl bottle. Leicht trübes orange braunes Bier mit einer mittelgroßen beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch nach reifen roten Früchten, Karamell, Obst, alkoholisch. Geschmack nach reifen dunklen Früchten, Karamell, Vanille, leicht alkoholisch.

Hopfig seifiger Antrunk weich, schnell steigende Intensität. Vollmundig, leicht fruchtig, geringe Bitterkeit. Spritzig runde Malzigkeit. Gelungen. 10/11/10/10/7/10

Bottle. Lots of fruits, dried fruit as well. Also slightly soapy. Light light metallic. Not bad per se, but single dimensional and characterless. Fails at the classic Belgian complexity and balance. Still drinkable though.

Bottle kindly donated by Benzai, many thanks. Brown color with medium white head. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, alcohol. Taste the same with some banana.

33cl bottle. Hazy dark ruby pour with a tall tan head and visible carbonation. Smells of caramel, rosemary, figs and raisins. Bitter-sweet, with notes of dried fruit, caramelized brown sugar, Coke and a bit of yeast. It has a ’fresh’ feel about it, probably due to the high carbonation.
