On tap at WOB. Black with brown highlights small off-white head. Aroma is salted caramel, medium body, medium carbonation, and pretty good lacing. Taste is caramel, salt, and cocoa.

12 oz bottle. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aroma is chocolate, caramel, candy corn...yum. Taste is unfortunately not as impressive, but it starts out sweet and quickly turns really bitter, something I wasn't expecting from a dessert beer. Notes of earthy, herbal hops, alcohol, cough drops, chocolate and caramel round out the flavors. Not getting any salt. Although I still think it's a good beer, I was really wishing for something on a par with their other dessert beers.

Bottle. Huge toffee nose, caramel. Black and shiny. Salty caramel flavor, very sweet, marshmallows. Simple and sweet, but rather fun.

This brew is an opaque brown-black color with some red around the edges, and a medium foamy beige head that recedes steadily to a film. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of chocolate, malt and caramel. Full-bodied with flavors of sweet caramel malt, dark chocolate and a bit of vanilla. The finish is sweet and salty caramel fudge. Pretty good overall.

12 ounce bottle from Beer Run, 6/6/16. Dark brown with a large foamy tan head. Good retention. Aroma of caramel and hints of salt. The taste is caramel, roast, mild salt. Medium bodied, mild booze. Not a fan. More artificial tasting crap almost as bad as Pumking. I originally gave this a 2.6. That was too generous. My dentist has two young children. Thanks to this beer they will be well cared for.

Dense, opaque black body with a small tan head. The aroma is sweet with lots of dark chocolate. The flavor follows the aroma, chocolate first then a salty caramel sweetness in the finish.

Bottle. It pours a dark mahogany brown color with a very thin, fizzy head that disappears quickly. The aroma is very sweet smelling with tons of caramel and mocha. Caramel machiatto? Creamy and sugary with caramel and mocha candies. Werthers? The flavor is the same. It’s a little more smoky with burnt sugar and a little burnt toast near the finish. The salt isn’t really coming through at all for me. Even with all the dessert-like qualities of this one, it isn’t quite as sweet as I remember other Southern Tier stouts being.

Pours a black from a bottle. Smells and tastes just like the label says: salted caramel, but with the addition of a rich chocolatiness. Very good beer.

Bomber from Tavour. Nose is sweet vanilla caramels, a hint of char, and a bit of chocolate. Black with a medium lightly lacing tan head. Flavor is moderately peppery and white peppery with a very small amount of background bitterness.
