A thin, tight light tan head on a near black body. The nose is strong, featuring chocolate brownies, vanilla, and dark berries. As promised in the name, Salted Caramel is a significant taste player, but the lead element is chocolate, cream and crème brule. It is sweet. This is bolstered by a solid vanilla presence, some nuttiness, raisins and a touch of fruity hops. Chocolate fudge emerges late. It is well supported by a solid effervescence and rich body. A lovely concoction!

Amber colored pour. Sweet buttery tasting, vanilla flavored and delicious. Salt and sweet mixed to create a wonderful palate of vanilla with salt notes. Almost like butterscotch. Easy carbonation.

Bottle pour (BB 10/13/21; 8.6%) from Total Wine & More, Burlington. It's a clear, dark amber with light sparkle, 1/2-finger width beige tight foam head with poor retention and spotty lacing. Aroma is strong caramel. Taste follows aroma with mild salt; slight booze. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft-to-average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, they nail the caramel but there's not much else to this. Pleasant enough. Definitely not a stout.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a thinnish, fast-dying tan head that starts at just over a centimetre and ends with nothing, just a few seconds later. Aroma of deep and chocolate and coffee with some caramelised sugars, a heavy dose of toffee and pure caster sugar, with nuts, earth and peanut butter on the finish. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong rich chocolate and coffee flavour at first with tons of nuts and alcohol noticeable along with a big sweetness from the caramelised sugars and grain and ending with a deep bitterness from the nuts and especially the alcohol punch. Aftertaste is pungent and potent with a lot of roasted malt, caramelised sugars, coffee, lactose, earth, toffee and a good dose of cherries noticeable on the end, all with tons of vanilla and a dose of bourbon on the very end. Overall, a pungent, but relatively easy-going beer, especially after the time in the bottle, a very sweet and pungent beer that shows well. I sampled this 65cL bottle purchased from Costco in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 16-October-2017 for US$7,69, when my daughter turned five, sampled at my mom's house in Manassas, Virginia on 19-January-2019.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max's place. Thanks Stas. Black. Chocolate, roast, caramel, sweet, somewhat sugary, some salt, bitter finish, full-bodied. Really good.

12 ounce bottle. Opaque black color. Small creamy tan head. Rich roasted malt nose has notes of sweet caramel. Thick oily mouthfeel. Big roasted malt flavor. Dark caramel notes throughout. Sticky, resiny notes in finish. Like a caramel macchiato with a double shot of espresso. Warming alcohol as well.

Tap at bowsers. Very dark brown. Sweeter toffee nose. First taste is caramel and then it goes into a volatile medicinal attribute that is in yer face. Medicinal. Thicker mouth coating middle. Could only do one of these. Near cloying in the finish.
