Eggers Special is a rare late pick Riwaka hop, grown in the windswept and demanding soils of the Moutere Valley.

Eggers Farm takes pride in cultivating this distinctive varietal, where the natural stresses of the environment bring out bold aromas of passionfruit, grapefruit and bright tropical citrus. We’ve brewed a single hop Double IPA to let this unique hop speak for itself!

Panda from Theydon Bois. Hazy orange. Frothy foamy white head. Aroma has fruit herbs and resin with underlying tinned fruit. Bitter herbs abd resin cushioned by soft tinned stone fruit and porridge. Thick. Oily. Soft carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. A slips down easily kinda DNEIPA.

Can. Hazy orange gold beer, good bubbly pale cream colour head that persists for a decent amount of time. Smooth palate, decent fine carbonation on the back end. Soft smooth malts, a nice airy creamy sweetness. Riwaka's hillbilly sibling cum cousin, is a delight here. Very soft pine. A mild hop spice nibble. Guava and rounded but clear passion fruit. Touch of Pakistani honey mango. A mild savoury vibe. Back end brings light touches of stone fruits and citrus but, they are complementary and peripheral colours to the main event. Light finish. Rather good then. Certainly the best beer, featuring or including ES, I have had. More passion fruit then any Strata beer I can recall. A very fine and hugely drinkable single hop showcase. This is how it should be done.

440ml can. Murky golden with a white head. Aroma of exotic fruits, guava, papaya, passionfruit. Taste is super juicy, tropical, guava, passionfruit, papaya, stone fruits, fairly sweet, very little bitterness. Medium-full bodied. Great expression of the hop.

Can from The Craft Beer Cabin, Bromley. Nose is mango, tangerine, peach, apricot, zesty orange. Taste is a fair mix of the above, notes of lime coming through too. Exceedingly fruity flavours with a light bitter bite.
