On tap at Luppolo Station in Rome. Caramel dark color, decent ivory foam with a medium retention. Nose: caramel (artificial) aroma, waffle. Mouth: pretty unbalanced, artificial and pretty confusing caramel notes.

Can @Luppolo Station (Rome). Nera, densa, impenetrabile, schiuma color cappuccino, abbondante e persistente. Al naso note di cioccolato, caramello, sciroppo d'acero, caffè. In bocca è dolce, un po' stucchevole. Corpo pieno, carbonazione media. Si beve.

330ml bottle. Black with a small beige head. Aroma of chocolate, caramel, fudge, toffee. Taste is sweet, fudge, caramel, chocolate, slight roastiness, slightly bitter finish surprisingly. Medium-full body, soft carbonation. Not quite as thick as I'd hoped but nonetheless a very nice stout.

Appearance: Very dark brown, near black. Some tan head. Aroma: Nicely roasted, chocolate, caramel. Vanilla! Taste: Dark malt, caramel sweetness, roasted, chocolate. Smooth. Hides alcohol well. Bought: Wittich, 330 ml can, CHF 4.80 Info: 18/1-2019, BB: ??/??-????

F: no real, thin film and bubbles tan. C: black with some brown against the light. A: thick malty, caramel, caramel candy, bit vinous, intensive sweetness, vanilla ice cream, nutty and chocolate, T: malty, vinous, caramel, candy, crème brûlée, white chocolate, nutty, vanilla, light oily mouthfeel, bit peppery and coffee finish, full body, almost no carbonation, nice one, enjoyed very well, 33cl bottle from Malting Pot in Brussels.

Black beer, thick beige head and an amazingly rich, chocolate caramel aroma. Taste doesn't disappoint either. All the things in the name of the beer along with loads of malt in a big, rich creamy beer. It's quite boozy which lingers into the aftertaste and demands that you treat this as a sipper (if the strength didn't do that already) but it's beautiful stuff.
