A rich aroma of hops and malt develops a full texture in the mouth. It has a long, deep, bitter-sweet finish. Without doubt an exceptional best bitter.

Ingredients: Maris Otter pale malt. Challenger and East Kent Goldings hops.

Bottle at the inlaws, thanks to Roger, 29/04/18. Rich copper pour with a decent light beige head. Nose is caramel, dried fruits, biscuit, sweet malts, brown sugar. Taste comprises fruit slice, biscuit malts, brown bread, toffee, mellow spice, stewed fruits. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a mellow bitter edge. Decent enough ESB.

A proper English bitter that veers towards best bitter territory. Lots of strong dark malt and a nice bitter flavour and texture from the hops. Biscuit and a welcome farmyard flavour made this a very pleasurable pint.

Light amber with off white head - Malt aroma with some hops that has a herbal hint - Malt body with some hops that has some herbal bitterness - The malt and herbal bitterness goes into the finish with some dry notes - This was nice

Amberfarget klar med fingerhøyt beige skum. Lukter honning, karamell og syltetøy. Fin fylde. Smaker sirup, honning, noe bitter brent karamell. Lett sødme. Kort.

Bottle. Clear mahogany, mid beige head dissipates quickly leaving no lacings. Aroma is malty, overripped fruit, bread, brown sugar, slight floral notes. Taste is balanced, sweet malty bready notes, floral, bitter and dry finish. Good ESB.

500ml bottle. Clear amber with minimal off-white head, disappearing rapidly. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, toffee. Taste is the same, initially sweet with a mildly bitter finish. Actually quite well balanced, sessionable. Light-medium body, texture and carbonation. Easy drinking though nothing special.

Bottle shared thanks to my sister. Very hazy amber brown with a small tan head. Aroma of toffee, caramel and malt. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and bitter. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation.
