Cask at The Crown Tavern, Lee. Clear honey coloured pour with a white head. Not had this for many moons. Orange marmalade & apricot aromas. Same in the taste. Quite bitter. Quaffable stuff but has lost the nutty backnote it once had.

Had it as London Original - clear orange pour with a white head; aromas and tastes of grain, malt and hops. Overall alright, but not mindblowing.

2017 notes. Clear golden, medium to large off-white creamy head. Lightly malty, grainy, biscuity. Lightly hoppy, leaves, earthy, herbs and light citrus. Light diacetyl. Malty flavour, toasty, quite rich, some toffee. Moderately hoppy flavour, herbs and spices. Good balance, moderately to highly intense dry finish. Medium body (too much?), moderate carbonation, drinkable, brave!

Vinous aroma with biscuit and grapes. Some hopbitterness at first, immediately follwed by a biscuit-like sweetness and hints of caramel and licorice. Just a bit of bitterness in the aftertaste. Thin to medium bodied. Unexciting beer, lacks life and bite.
