This year’s festival release is an uber rich, ultra thick and downright indulgent Tiramisu Stout. With coffee from our friends at Chipp Coffee Co., cocoa from York Cocoa House and a complex malt bill courtesy of festival sponsors Bairds, it’s got all the depth and decadence needed to evoke the cult-classic dessert.
As always, we’ve called in some heavyweights to help us pull it off. Finland’s Factory Brewing, Evil Twin from NYC and long-time friends Beak.

Aroma: Dark roasted malt with chocolate and lactose. Flavour: Very sweet with chocolate and coffee bitterness with lactose. Aftertaste is sweet lightly bitter. Colour: Black with a tan head. From: Can @ best of beers webshop.

440ml can. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, caramel. Taste is rich, chocolatey, loads of coffee, caramel, roast malts, bittersweet with more bitterness at the end. Full bodied.

Dark and Wild describes my adopted cat at the time I found him in the street. Black, smooth in the palate, pretty crisp too. The tiramisu is dominant but at very palatable levels in both aroma and taste, also masking its strength, which makes this a full-bodied craft special. Excellent crafting here, sweet and rich at the same time.

Draft at the strait and narrow. Jet black with a thin tan head. Aroma and taste are sweet and coffee. Some chocolate. And light bitter. Rich body.
