Trader Joe’s, Brooklyn six-pack ($6): I don’t have a lot of money and I need beer. So I did what every poor person has to do. Shop at Trader Joe’s. In any case, it pours a clear gold with a white head. Aroma is of macro-lager with a few grains here and there. Upon tasting it, it is possible, but improbably to detect a modicum of hops. Kinda crispy. Then there are a few other tastes that I can only describe as "off".

12 oz bottle. Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma of sweet pale malts, some minor floral aromas. Flavor is biscuity malts, a touch of honey, and just a hint of earthy, spicy hop. Nothing really bad up front, but it gets old rather quickly. Fairly light.

12oz bottle. Filtered orange-tan color with a respectable white head. Fresh, doughy brewhouse aroma with a touch of noble hops. On the lighter side of medium bodied, with a creamy, doughy mouthfeel. Some mild crispness upfront, which also lingers in the aftertaste. A pretty decent session ale with lots of toasty malt character.

12 ounce bottle from Trader Joe’s Glen Allen, VA. Pours a crystal clear light amber color with a medium frothy white head. Average head retention and lacing. The aroma is very grassy with some faint sweet malts in the finish. Taste is also grassy with some green apple notes and lightly toasted malts. Thin-medium bodied and briskly carbonated.

Bottle. Poured pale gold with thin white head. Light aroma of grassy hop. Light malt flavour. Slight finish, a little metal lingering on the middle of the tongue. Not a superior pilsener, but drinkable.

Overall, this is a really solid. It is smooth with no bad aftetaste. It just doesn’t have that certain...je nais se quoi. Nice yeast taste with some sweet malts. Didn’t note the head. Can’t beat the quality for the price.

Pour is a nice looking golden with a average white head. Aroma is syrupy malts and some bread. Flavor is again bready and biscuit. A decent lager for a decent price and deffinatly better than any macro swill.

Light grassy hop aroma. No corn detected. Brassy gold color with a persistent white head. Almost medium bodied, a bit over fizzy. The flavor is light bready malt with some balancing grassy hop. Not Urquel, but for the price it’s not so bad.
