Pale in color with a noticeable haze, this Berliner Weisse pours with fluffy white foam. Malt aromas combine with woody, spicy, and vanilla notes. Tart and sour flavors balance well with a floral, mildly sweet finish. This is Frische Weisse with elderflowers.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a cloudy golden-peach color with a large foamy yellow-white head that left good lacing. The aroma was sweet, tart, spritzy and lemony with a chalky Sweettart candy presence. The flavor was sour and tart with Sweettart candies, a bit of perfume and a lactic note. Long finish. Medium body. Solid.

Keg at Malmo Tap Room, 13/08/16. Lightly hazed golden blonde with a decent off white covering. Nose is elderflower, straw, pissy citrics, melon, light floral notes. Taste comprises lemon tinged straw, damp hay, less elderflower presence, grains, soured citric sherbets. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light puckering edge. Decent enough ’Linner.

Poured into a stange, the appearance is a cloudy yellow color with a sustaining finger’s worth of white foamy head. It does eventually dissipate a bit more, but definitely at a nice pace. Mild stringy lacing clings to the glass yet slides into an acceptable messiness.
The aroma brings in a nice amount sour-ed wheat, but springy light. Elderflower is quite underneath. Light citrus.
The flavor takes in a graceful amount of the sour wheat to some citrus. Super quick sour-ed wheaty mash hits the aftertaste and puckers up nicely in the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a nice sessionable sour smooth feel sliding over my tongue. Carbonation seems to hit appropriately.
Overall, as a Berliner Weisse with Victory’s creativity to drop in the elderflower it works for me. I would have it again. Definitely crushable on a hot day!

Bottle. Strange berliner - too sweet and too sour at the same time. The balance is jusr not there.

(Draught at Bishop’s Arms Folkungagatan, Stockholm, 9 Sep 2016) Pale yellow colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, sourish nose with notes of lemon, elderflower, white bread, hay and peaches. Fruity, tart taste with lemon, elderflower, canned peaches and a finish with a fresh tartness. Medium body, mainly dry, no evident bitterness. Good balanced between the tart lactic character and the fruity elderflower, making it very refreshing. Nice one.

Pours a hazy golden-copper color with a medium white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Strings of lacing. Fruity and floral aroma with yeast and malt notes. Light-bodied with flavors of tart lemons and berries, floral yeast and malt. The finish is mildly tart with a lemony aftertaste. Decent overall.

Draft: Overripe lemon, grapefruit aroma. Cloudy golden, headless. Tart lime and grapefruit. Lactic malty finish. Light body, harsh mouthfeel. Dry-hopped? Very tart, fruity, and delicious. Rough texture.

Bottle. Hazy pale straw with a white head that doesn’t hang around long. Aroma - hay, old lemons, flowers (having had an elderflower BW recently, I still wouldn’t really have picked them here). Some sunny hay-like sweetness, lemony sourness, floral notes. Just enough lacto slipperiness. Not all that deep but very refreshing with very nice balance. Good.
