This was on tap at Brewtus Brewing. Listed only as Victory Berliner Weisse. Straw colored. Initially I thought it to have more personality than most berliners. However, this was very good with a tart backbone. Yes, nice cutting co2 with a bite. Fun, tart and friendly. Never over the top. YUMMY! Did hot really detect any elder in there. Nice job vicky!

Pours a light straw from a bottle, nice tart elderflower flavor, a little heavier than some berliner weisses in a good way. Very good beer.

Draught at Lulu’s, 8/24/16.
Golden-brass body shows a strong haze and a big, white head atop with moderate retention.
Elderflower not overdone in the nose, which is extremely important. It’s acidity and peppery-fruitiness meld seamlessly with the light lactic notes while soft, cream-of-wheat-like notes and mild honey wafts up as well. Clean, not overly lactic, but very nicely balanced.
More body to it than any berliner I’ve had, thought it’s still pretty well-attenuated. Lots of wheat, honey, biscuit and fruity elderflower sits on the palate, though is cleared away on the finish by strong, mostly tight carbonation, leaving gentle acidity and pepper notes in its wake. Simple, with honey, wheat, light lactic acid and elderflower, but well-done, nonetheless.

Pours hazy gold into a bowl. Bright white head with excellent retention recedes to nothing. Flowery yeast and citrus aromas. Soft upfront with pie crust turning quickly sharp with lemon and lime before turning to soft marshmallow and heather in the lasting finish.

Bottle. Hazy to cloudy yellow color, medium white head. Aroma of floral lemon. Taste is softly sour lemony flowers. Tasty. Good summer beer.

12 oz. bottle shared by Willrunfirbeer. Yellow hazy color, no head. Aroma is tart lemon, lactic acid, malted wheat.
I can pick out the elderflower in the the finish has a light herbal floral note. Tartness is decent (in the form of lemon juice) and this does not show any major flaws. Pretty easy to down and a nice example of the style.

Bottle from Bine & Vine. Pours hazy gold with a slight white head. Aroma is lightly floral with a touch of bread. Near med body. Flavor is spritzy lemony, finishing a bit bready. Dry, astringent, fairly sourish, lightly woody, lightly floral. Mostly citrusy sour. Next time try Woodruff!
