Inspired by the tempting combination of chocolate and orange, we created this smooth porter. Cocoa nibs deliver notes of dark chocolate and roast coffee, while a combination of sweet orange peel and orange zest draw out a hint of citrus in the beer’s finish.

16 oz. can. Aroma is soft roasted malt, chocolate, citrus peel. Flavor is a carbon copy. Lighter side of medium body. Perhaps a light bitter orange peel finish. It is decent.

Brewery draught, 11/8/25, as pictured.
Light roast and a tasteful amount of orange zest give a good dryness. Not getting a ton of comforting base malt, though.
But it actually is amply malty with light chocolate and low orange character. Low roast. Kind of a weird choice for Allagash, but it's well enough done.
