375ml clear amber, white. Legs. Nose has malt and caramel and booze and some fig. Flavor melds the malt and the barrel well. Hot. Figgy. Easy drinker. Very solid. 7 7.5 8 8 7.5

Rich, succulent, well-developed toffee and caramel with a touch of vanilla and a faithful, but not-overdone bourbon presence. Spice, spirit, light oak. No alcohol whatsoever.
In the mouth I think it has the perfect texture. Just under syrupy, with plentiful, rich, succulent malt ending sweet and comforting but not too much so. Barrel is ever-present but doesn't interject itself too much, leaving waves of spice and wood on the edges while the main force is the wonderful maltiness. No alcohol, not too sweet. Just kind of everything you want. Only thing they can really improve here is to add complexity to the bourbon character, but as is, it's still delightful.

Amber-brown colour. No head. The aroma is kind of headsy, a touch of bubblegum. On the palate, it's got a boozy accent, the malt is a bit toffeeish but doesn't come together all that well. With a touch of warmth the esters blow off, which helps the sugars to come out, but it's boozy, a bit headsy. Kind of uncoordinated.

Poured from 375mL bottle (2024 vintage; side by side with 2022 vintage). Clear-ish amber brown with very minimal off white head. 2024 has a fair bit more wood, some estery bubble gum notes, slightly harsh booziness, quite different than 2022. Prefer the softer nature of 2022 overall.
