Introducing our latest IPA - Billie!
Billie's Bier Kafetaria in Antwerp, owned by Stefan and named after his beautiful French Bulldog, Billie. Billie sadly passed away in 2021, but his legacy lives on through Billie's Beer Festival, held every November.
Each brewery attending is asked to brew a special beer to commemorate this special wee guy, and we are delighted to be involved in this year's festival.
Brewed with East Lothian malt and packed full of Strata hops.
Here's to you, Billie!

Can. A light haze on this gold beer, decent bubbly off white head. Light palate, mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Slightly thin bodied pale malts, teeny tiny bit of natural grain, a thin but pleasing sweetness. Strata hops deliver light smooth cooling pine, a bright skunk note and a pleasing hop fruity brightness that does include some of yer actual passion fruit, something this hop is renowned for but, in my experience, is absent more often than it is present. A kinda muzzy background hop fruit array of slightly ripe citrus and vague stone fruits. Passion fruit does stand out here if not carrying quite the punch it could do. A clean and very quaffable light IPA and doing a splendiferous job with Strata.

Can at home picked up from hotm. A bright clear golden coloured pour with a tidy lasting frorhy white head. Aroma is nice fresh pine, melon, white grape, juicy fruit, orange rind. Very clean. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, clean base grains, nz hop vibes, Nelson, white grape, semi crisp finish, drying piney hop. Palate is is super crisp easy going, highish carbonation. Really easy drinking solid. Ipa.

8/XI/25 - on tap @ Billies Craft Beer Festival Day 2 - Session 1 (Antwerp), BB: n/a (2025-1192) Thanks to all for sharing today’s beers!
Clear gold beer, big creamy dense white head, pretty stable, a bit adhesive. Aroma: lovely, smells like a good old school west coast ipa, fruity notes, spicy, piny, some canned peaches. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: a bit watery, spicy, a little sugary, pretty grassy, earthy, dry. Aftertaste: very fruity finish, a bit earthy, dry, herbal, very piny ending, ok but not as great as I would’ve hoped from the smell.
