Subtle sweetness with a clean finish. The smooth Pilsner malt and delicate European hops create a unique twist on a golden ale. Refreshingly light in body and delightfully thirst quenching, Ida is sure to satisfy.

16 oz. can from Kroger in Brentwood, TN. Pours a crystal clear light gold color with an off white head and good retention. Lots of streaming carbonation. Decent lacing. Belgian yeast aroma. Strong Belgian yeast and bready taste to match the nose. More hefeweisen taste than a golden ale. Light body. Too yeasty for my liking. The 6.2% ABV is well hidden.

16oz can. Filtered tan-orange body. Fading white head. Pretty straight down the middle. Drinkable, easy going. Light noble hop touches. Decent malt depth. Good.

On tap at Fat Bottom, pours a clear blonde with a medium white head. Aroma brings out straw, cereal malt and some metallic character. Flavour is similar, with a herbal metallic character, biscuity malt and straw. Dry and bitter finish. More aggressive and unusual for the style. Okay.

Tap. Pours hazy golden, small white head, some lacing. Aroma is light grass, bread, honey, hay. Flavor is medium sweet, grassy, hints of hay and honey, light bitterness, white pepper. Medium body, fairly low carbonation. Sweeter than I usually like, but it kind of works here.
