Devil Anse Hatfield led his family in the notorious and bloody feud with the McCoys during the late 1800s along the Kentucky-West Virginia border. Nicknamed Devil Anse, it was said that he was so strong and fierce he could take on the devil himself. No feuding is necessary when you enjoy the balanced bitterness of hops and tropical fruit characteristics in this satisfying IPA.

Keg at Iron Horse Tavern. Clear pale golden, large creamy offwhite head, good retention. Aroma of grapefruit, tropical fruit, pale malt,mild toastiness. Taste is resin,leafy, mango, citrus, Pale malt. Medium bodied, crisp, well balanced.

Bottle shared on the RBSG bus. Amber pour with a small white head. Aromatic with piney and citrus hops, fairly dank too. Tastes moderately sweet with a fair amount of bitterness. Citrus and pine, light earthy bits.

Can on the RBSG bus. Medium amber with small frothy head. Big dank, musty aromas, nice to see on an East Coast IPA. taste adds some nice malts to the big hops, but in the end the funky hops are what you’ll remember.

Can at home in Hackney - sourced via trade. Cheers, David! Pours clear gold with a foamy, white head. The nose has some fresh orange, peach, pale bread, melon. Light to medium sweet flavour, fairly juicy, some oily pine bitterness, supportive bready pale malts, nectarine. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Well balanced finish, lightly resinous, with further pale bread, orange, more melon, peach. Quite good overall.

On draft at the Iron Horse Tavern in Morgantown. Pours A clear gold with an off white head. Pine aroma. Flavors of pine and grass with a bit of mango and other tropical fruits. Moderately bitter finish.

Draft. Clear golden body with a fizzy white head. Aroma of raw grain and floral hops. Notes of lemon and citrus. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Unfinished grain taste.
