Intensely sweetish-malty, gently fruity aroma of molasses, dark honey, chestnut, whisky, vanilla, raisins and prunes. Rather sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently boozy, slightly fruity taste of molasses, sherry, whisky, vanilla, chestnut, raisins, prunes, dark honey, dates, some chocolate and traces of licorice root, followed by a long, moderately bitter, gently boozy finish. Full body, oily mouthfeel, flat. Lovely Barley Wine, very complex and intense, maybe a tad too boozy.
