Thank you! Sampled 330 ml. bottle as “Kempisch Vuur Winter” @ Kerstbierfestival Essen 2015. This one might be the same as Kertvuur. Murky orange amber with huge amount of sediment floating around, not the best example. Nose is fish guts, vanilla, sugar & excessive yeast (cause seems obv. here). Taste is fish guts, big vanilla, sugar, oily, dark fruits, herbs,… Yeasty. Quite a mess of conflicting flavors, not much of a fan of this one. Earlier Rating: 12/18/2012 Total Score: 3.433 cl. bottle sample @ 18th Christmasbeer festival in Essen. Pale amber with no head. Smell is sweet candy, herbs, Belgian yeast & white sugar. Taste is sugary, white sugar, candy, herbs, kind of mild, Belgian yeast, quite a bit herbal, spices. m/m – bit meh, okay.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - 2014 vintage, at Stadin Panimobaari, 20150919) The beer poured golden and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, citricness and yeast. Palate was medium bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, yeast, grass, tartness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity, tart and bitter. An interesting brew but the tartness made me suspect a possible contamination.
