Coolship Resurgam is brewed with Pilsner malt, raw wheat, and aged hops. The beer is cooled overnight using outside air temperature in a traditional large, shallow pan known as a coolship. During the cooling process, naturally occurring microbiota from the air inoculate the beer, and in the morning, it is transferred into French oak wine barrels where the entire fermentation and aging takes place.

Coolship Resurgam is a blend of this one-, two-, and three-year-old spontaneously fermented beer. The finished beer has aromas of apricot, lemon zest, and candied fruit. Notes of tropical fruit and flavors of funk lead to a clean, tart, and dry finish.

375ml @ Sales Force. Appearance: a bit hazy golden with a white head. Aroma: funk, barrel, some minerals and a bit weird chemical notes. Taste: along the same lines, moderately acidic with some lemon zest notes. Overall: pretty good.

Golden. Slight haze. Not much head. Lots of bugs right up front on the nose, hay, and quite a bit of barrel. Soft and sweetish. Leather and hay. Plenty of barrel. The tannins really come through the finish.

18/IV/22 - 37.5cl bottle @ Cantillon Quintessence (Brussels), BB: n/a (2022-364)

Rather cloudy blond yellow beer, small creamy white head, unstable, a bit adhesive. Aroma: nice, funky, earthy, spicy, fruity notes, apples, lemon. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: citrus, green apples, bitter, a nice acidity, refreshing and dry. Aftertaste: a bit lemony, hoppy, citrus, clean acidity, bitter touch, a little herbal, more green apples. Lots of green apples in all them Allagash beers today…

Bottle from SB. Yellow with white foam. Citric, acidic. Loads of wet oak, some herbs and funk. A bit too heavy on the bitter wood.

Damn that's serious funk for amlam, of course it makes sense from allagash but I guess I've not had enough allagash! Super funky dry upfront, peppery sweet apple cider finish.

Trevlig
