Coolship Resurgam is brewed with Pilsner malt, raw wheat, and aged hops. The beer is cooled overnight using outside air temperature in a traditional large, shallow pan known as a coolship. During the cooling process, naturally occurring microbiota from the air inoculate the beer, and in the morning, it is transferred into French oak wine barrels where the entire fermentation and aging takes place.
Coolship Resurgam is a blend of this one-, two-, and three-year-old spontaneously fermented beer. The finished beer has aromas of apricot, lemon zest, and candied fruit. Notes of tropical fruit and flavors of funk lead to a clean, tart, and dry finish.

A hazed golden Gueuze with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with Brett, light lactic notes, Epsom salts, light horse blanket, very nice and complex. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with Brett, light lactic notes, a bit thin, still solid after 8 years.

Bottle: Poured a clear amber color beer with a large off-white foamy head with OK retention and light lacing. Aroma of funky notes with some green apple sourness and oak presence is quite enticing. Taste is a good mix of funky notes with some sour notes, some oak and green apple notes are also discernible. Some acidic notes are also noticeable but they are not overwhelming. Very interesting spontaneous beer.

12.7 oz corked and caged. Aroma is lightly lemony, vanilla custard, dusty basement, vague notes of a tropical fruity cocktail, like a mai tai or something. Pours hazy golden with a one finger bone-white head with decent retention. Taste is moderately sour (7/10), a little bit funky, oaky, finishing dry. Very bubbly, highly carbonated mouthfeel. Good.

Bottle thanks to Bursprak. Pours light orange with no head. Aromas of sour green apples, nice bitterness, stable notes, barnyard, light leather, brett, apricots, citrus, floral notes. Taste is apricots, citrus, barnyard, stable, brett, tart green apples, dust, dirt. Smooth and enjoyable!

Draft from Isaac Newton's in Newtown, PA. Orange gold pour with a small creamy white head. Funky yeast nose. Stone fruit as ell. First sip is sour fruit. Apricot, green apples, earth, wood and more. Soft on palate. Complex and unique. Happy to have stumbled across this one.

Refrigerated 12.7 oz. brown bottle poured into a glass. Clear golden with small white head. Aroma is tart, medium body, lower carbonation, and litttle lacing. Taste is tart some what dry lemon and a little wood.
