Rochdale Beer Festival 2015. Dark, dirty amber in colour. Has a sweetness in its nose, fused with some darker malts which are also evident in its taste, but not a very stated ale.

Bottle from the Cartmel village shop. Appearance - dark amber with a decent head. Nose - honey and wholemeal bread. Taste - more wholemeal bread but no honey this time. A little though. Palate - medium bodied with a crunchy texture and a dry malty finish. Overall - nicely balanced bitter with enough elements to keep it interesting.

Gravity cask at the Wandsworth Common Halloween Beer Festival - Le Gothique, London. Pours clear, rich gold with a frothy white cap. Light bready malts in the nose with touches of leaves and dry fruit. Light sweet flavor with bitter grain husks, dried and lightly leathery fruits, dirty leaves. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Bitter earth and leaf finish with further dried fruits and mild bready malt sweetness. A touch too bitter at times.
