Bottle at tasting. Aroma of booze, malt and some ripe fruit. Taste has booze, malt, bitter herbs and glue. Really bad, why do this?

Sampled @ Pint Winterbierfestival Gouda, 2016. Opaque brownish color, small off-white head. Smell and taste malts, a weird bitterness, alcohol lightly, sweetish in the aroma. Average to medium body, a bit thin texture, soft carbonation. Meh.

Bottle sample at PINT Winterbierfestival ’16. Murky amber colour, no head. Aroma is bitter, amber malts, nuts, some alcohol, yeast, not very clean. Flavour is bitter, amber malts, light fruity, alcohol, green tea, caramel, really very bitter finish in a harsh way. Medium to full bodied. Wouldn’t say it’s 20%.

Thank you for sharing people! 330 ml. bottle sampled @ “Gouda Winterbier Festival 2016”. Dark brown amber, only some tanned bubbles on the side. Nose is herbal syrup, cough medicine, honey malts, sludge, feels oddly touch watery, doesn’t smell like 20 % ABV. Taste is oddly tad watery up-front, warming herbal, stale bread, lightly boozy but no 20 %, cereal, finish is bitter & not too pleasant, herbal, weird, herbs, moldy syrup, bitter stale bread. I assume this is ice-bocked, all kinds of weird flavours got exaggerated towards the finish. Not a big fan. Oddly feels a bit watery as well.

Bottle sampled at Winterbierfestival Gouda. Murky light brown with barely any head. Strong citrus peel at first, bitter herbs, some caramel, flowery almost in a soapy way. Medium sweet and bitter with quite some bitter alcohol in the finish. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Pint winterbierfestival 2016, gedeeld met de clan, schenkt caramel bruin met witte kraag. Aroma van caramel, alcohol, zoet, wat fruitig (donker), smaken zijn wat waterig en dun, alcoholisch, bitter... Mwaah... Dadels of andere zoete fruitmeuk.... Maar ik ben er eerlijk gezegd wel klaar mee.

Tap at Rootz Winterbier Festival. Pours very hazy brown with a bubbly tan head. Aroma of overripe dark fruits, caramel, toffee, rich malt and alcohol. Flavour is light heavy sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Not an easy drinking beer by any means but doesn’t seem like 20%.
