Bottled. Cloudy orange, rich lively head. Rich hop aroma of lychee and grapefruit. Mid sweet wit rounded mouthfeel and above medium body. Nicely drinkable despite being massively hoppy. Very bitter finish. Really good.

22oz bottle pours a hazy, orange yellow with a thin, creamy white head. Nose is classic DIPA, grapefruit, pine, citrus, light caramel. Flavor is extremely bitter, grapefruit, light caramel, orange juice. Finish is full bodied and bitter.

Bottled less than a month ago. This is a well-made DIPA but not one that I find particularly enjoyable. The aroma is quite nice, mostly floral/pine hop notes with very mild accompanying bready malt. On the other hand, while the flavor has some nice malt sweetness upfront, it quickly gives way to starkly bitter hops and the bone dryness of rubbing alcohol. That sounds bad, but it almost works. I just need a bit more of a residual malt sweetness lifeline to taste those more delicate hop flavors. The hops start to take on some earthy flavors. There’s some pepper, as well. It’s a bit like taking a bit of hops, pine needles or grapefruit skin: a fun figurative way to describe some DIPAs but not actually a pleasant experience. It’s not too bitter; there just isn’t enough delicacy, in my opinion. Mouthfeel is fairly raw. Interesting beer but not something that I’ll be going back for.

Bottle. Amber beer with an off-white head. Summer fruit and grapefruit aroma. light pine and herbal flavor with lots of grapefruit and summer fruit. Medium bodied. Some bitterness. Herbal notes linger with light pine, grapefruit, and summer fruit. Herbaciousness (mostly mint) is different, but not all bad.

Bottle thanks to Americanbrew. Pours with a large, off-white head over a golden body. Great Lacing. Aroma is Uberhoppy-esque with pine, citrus skin and some alcohol. Taste is dry and really grassy with a touch of citrus. Dry, low residual sweetness.

Yes, yet another Alaskan beauty from Gillard. Pours deep gold with off white head. The aroma is full with loads of tangelo, grapefruit and some sweet malts in the background. Wow, this puppy pulls at you with powerful citrus hop bitterness coming from notes like grapefruit and orange peel. To compliment and play around in the background a smooth mild sweet sugar maltiness rides along for a while. The hops take what little malts there are away and dominate into the finish. Solid IPA and a decent IIPA.
