(Draft at Akkurat, Stockholm, 13 Sep 2025) Black colour with foamy, pale brown head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of liquorice, dark chocolate, black coffee and soy sauce. Malty, roasted taste with liquorice, soy sauce, dark chocolate, cacao, black coffee and a generous cacao bitterness in a warming finish. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Rich and powerful. Solid and well made imperial stout. Very nice.

330ml can. Pours a deep black with just a hint of brown edge & a deep, glossy tan head that fades quickly. Aroma is moderately strong, dark malts, molasses, licorice to the fore.Beer is quite sweet with similar taste to the aroma on a medium body. There is something added to this stout that I do not like, not sure if its the barrels used or what as there is no ingredient list.
Not for me.

Can from Speciaalbier Café De Markies, Leeuwarden. Aroma is roasted malt with chocolate, coffee, liquorice, and espresso. Moderate sweet flavour, roasty bitterness. Body is medium to full. Good basic Imperial Stout, roasty, some liquorice. Expected a bit more, but good.

21/9/2024. Can courtesy of Nisse666 tnx. Pours close to black with a small frothy tan coloured head. Aroma is cocoa, dark chocolate, roasted malts, nutty, dried fruits, caramel, coffee, treacle. Moderate sweetness, medium roasted bitterness. Quite full bodied, smooth, soft carbonation. Well done.

Can at astral beers. Pours black with a small white head. Aroma is dark malts, caramel, prunes, licorice, molasses, coffee. Full body. Flavour is rich and sweetish, lots of dark malts, loads of caramel, chocolate, coffee, molasses. Nice, classic impy with lots of caramel and dark malt complexity.

Catada en schnifter, color negro opaco, espuma marrón claro que perdura unos minutos y luego se disipa formando un fino velo sobre la superficie. Al acercar la copa a la nariz se perciben aromas torrefactos, malta tostada, chocolate, café, pan de centeno...En boca entra ligeramente cálida, algo oleosa, rica en matices amargos y tostados, y un dulzor suave y bien balanceado, notas de cacao, moca, toffe, pan negro, crema irlandesa...A pesar de su profundidad y robustez posee un beber poco complicado, definitivamente una delicia para disfrutar muy despacio.

Canned. Black colour with a mediumsied beigeish brown head. Aroma is chocolate, toffee, liquorice and some slight alcohol tones. Flavour is dark chocolate, liquorice, some alcohol, coffee and roasted tones with mild dried fruity elements too. A bit boozy, otherwise nice.

Very nice beer. Good roasted malts with some malt sweetness to give a modern take. Well balanced, nothing overtly off, tasty and enjoyable, very easy drinking. Bierkonig ams
